COPE son of SERP this is for those that paid SERPs under old scheme and now will be included in new Post April 2016

Some facts

1. If you contracted out the idea was you enhanced your own private pension scheme. So how now can you prove this actually happened?

2. Unknown fact. The Government as part of this scheme paid a sum of money into a 3rd party scheme. No one seems to know this... Do you.... and who holds your pot?

3. Abbey Life was one of those schemes. It currently holds 3.5 billion in unclaimed pension pots.

4. Abbey Life is now closed for new business after being taken over by Resolution life in 2006.

5. Abbey Life is currently trying to trace these pot holders. It has under under goverment rules to make every attempt to locate these pot holders.

6. Currently Abbey Life is sending out letters so do not ignore. In many cases all it holds that is current is your NI number. So you may be contacted by the DWP. Do not ignore.

7. Your estimate sent by the goverment is as accurate as how long is piece of string??? expect to receive 25% of your COPE figure.

8. Abbey Life because it has closed has to close this fund, what about the others who dont have to close are they trying with the same vigour....

9. And lastly those under the old scheme, we also paid so what happened to our pot????
