OK had bit of a break from blogging as I update few things, but back again. So what has happened since April.. Well quite a lot....

Now have a new way of updating blog and can do it on the move without pc, so much easier. Blogs will now appear during the month.. With final version on Facebook at month's end...

Well since last blog we have a new government, May got that wrong, so much for advisors. If brexit wasn't hard enough it just got harder. We really need to get on with the job, how can businesses plan ahead at the moment, they haven't a clue on what could be....

Even more serious is the fact companies in order to plan for the future are looking beyond the EU, beyond the UK even. Business are being removed, jobs are being removed, putting the UK even more on the back foot....

Back to Apartment 507

Yes its that time back for 3 weeks, more adventures, lots more sun sea sangria. The only thing I will say is to all visitors, get away from the street, this is just the tip of the iceberg, there is so much more. But in saying that I also understand those that for various reasons cannot.

Was a unusually hot first 2 weeks followed by a cooler 3rd week. Found some new restaurants which is always my aim... I do try not to go to same place twice.

Big question is, am I bored with Alcudia, has the magic waned is it time to move on.... Well the answer to that is simple No.

Trip to Nidd Hall

Off to Yorkshire for few days see how its changed over the years..

Day 1. Journey to Nidd Hall, evening listening to live music, first the resident band which where OK, but the singer let's the band down. Next a tribute to James Bond and the various theme tune's, now this was better, all the right notes in almost all the right places, but enjoyable. Last was Laura Adams, keeping the best by far till last. Opera to Pop well done, and has sung with the stars and it shows, difinetly all the right notes in ALL the right places.... You can always tell by looking at the audience when they go silent and just and sit and enjoy, then the performer has the stage.... Well done

Day 2. York, first terrific boat trip up and down the Ouse, very informative... Did you know the Ouse has risen 17 plus feet above normal. That's a lot.

Again evening with live music. First Vaughan Kennedy, a Matt Monroe type singer, was ok, nothing wrong nothing right but easy to listen too, then the main act the West enders. Well all the songs from all the shows, apart from the first act when they performed all the songs I don't like from musicals, the rest was at best brilliant and the rest first class...

Day 3. The Dale's, yes still there. Much the same as years ago, the green green grass of home with a few hills. In the evening a master class on how to play the trumpet. Now know what vibrato means. Brilliant

Day 4. Journey home via the Yorkshire sculpture Park.... Basically a 500 acre outdoor art gallery. Outstanding views, constantly changing art pieces some small some big some very big... With the Emley Moor transmission tower in the background.... Bit of added useless information there...

Hotel review....

Hotel was in a beautiful setting, the grounds are wow, lake too, love the fairy houses in the trees just look for them.. The rooms well ours was spacious, plenty of storage space. My only issue is the restaurant tables too small and tightly packed, need bit more space. The food itself was good, no complaints, go for the buffet... Would I go again oh yes.

Oh well back to the real world.

The government announces the end to petrol and diesel powered cars.... Going to be battery power from 2040.

So how am I going to charge my Tesla from my top floor penthouse and how is the government going to recoup the revenue lost from fuel duty. How is the national grid going to Support this, so many questions, easy to say....

Oh and a last word or words about brexit for this month.... Just cannot think of word or words to describe the task ahead with the odd 40000 EU laws to take on board in the next 2 years or less that's 50 odd a day, and what had been completed so far...... Ermmmmmm none..... End of story.
