Its August already doesn't time fly..... First day of the month and so far sorted shower which gave up few weeks ago when the shower unit failed... I had the shower unit replaced but whilst the shower worked, it only worked if you lowered the shower head... Odd

So what was the fix? Removed the pump that supplied the old shower unit. New one had pump and the additional pump caused the problem.... Fixed

Next front door, was binding. Simple adjustment on hinges but could I see how, no. So had to get experts in sorted in half an hour. Now know the secret.

An American in Paris at the Dominion Theatre, London.

An American solider in Paris falls for a dancer. Originally a film released in 1951, year I was born, and starred then Gene Kelly.

This is pure dance and song and with just a little theatre thrown in as well. The choreography of the dance routines matches the constantly changing and quite amazing set changes.

This show is not short on props, which change during the performance by not only backdrops but also by the use of mobile sets which glide around the stage.

The quality of the dance routines, even if a bit long, is oddly bad at times, but purposely so, is brilliant. Even a few moments of laughter for good measure.

A long show 2.5 hours but did it seem so, did I fall asleep with boredom.... No... But that was he probably because trying hard to understand it all...

Point of note did not win on premium bonds this month, so must send a letter to ERNIE, as something's wrong there.

The international trading arm continues to flourish. Can I actually do 6 consecutive weeks of profit, maybe just maybe.

Update now into 7th week.... Now on course for 10% for the year

Update failed into 7th week but 6 weeks of gains does mean 10% target reached at the moment.

Update. 3rd quarter is performing well, up 8.75% outperforming previous 2. Just a single black week.

Brexit, just what is happening, does any one know.... What I do know is things are not moving at a pace that will ensure we don't leave without UK laws in place to cover those lost when we leave.... Does it matter some will say, well yes it does, without laws in place how are we to govern what the people want.... It took 40 years to get where we are today, this will not be sorted in the next 2....

Looking out the window and what do I see, I see clouds, grey skies.... Its august just where is summer.

Just thought I'd mention back once again in September to the land of sun sea sangria.... Now just weeks away...

Tourist tax. This is headlining at present in my second home Majorca. For what its worth here are my thoughts. It will not have any impact on the numbers going to Majorca, OK some may decide not to go but with a current lack of accommodation others will take their place.

This is further compounded by the drive to outlaw illegal letting, which may reduce the amount of accommodation available. From what I understand any dwelling can apply for a license. And the word to focus on is dwelling, applying to single occupancy not multiple occupancy as in apartment's within a block. The whole can apply but not the single. Which makes most illegal.

The reason for the whole is safety, the whole needs to sort emergency escape routes, fire escapes, the provision of fire fighting extinguishers, something the single within a block cannot do.

Have now the complete 54 page document that describes the process of applying for licence. You need to apply to the local tourist office.

Costs are 25 euros per bed, this includes an initial visit, to ensure dwelling is consistent with local laws, additional visits may be charged for, to recheck any changes made in order to comply with regulations.

This whole process can take up to 6 months after which you will receive your ETV license....

But here's an interesting point how do you check if booking that an ETV number is in fact legal, could just be a made up number, any idea's...
