September, autumn beckons. as does Christmas that's another year gone.

My blogs are updated as and when during the month and can be scene by going the blog on the website. The Facebook edition appears at month end....

Life just now seems to hang on one man and his drive to take on the world, Jim Jon Kung, this is not going to end well.

OK first week of trading for the month and in the red, but still a good third quarter, let's keep it that way.

My note to ns&i regards premium bonds worked got another winner. Just really need it to have few more 000,s.

The issue with tourist tax continues in Majorca, with the announcement it will double.

So for what its worth, here is my view.

Next year will not see a lot of change, as most don't realise till they get to resort and arrive that they need to pay more. It will only be in subsequent years they may be put off.

But people are really not looking at the bigger picture. Spain is in debt, few years ago this stood at 10% of GDP. Not good, this has been reduced over the years, by increased taxation and enforcing the collection of tax but still stands at 4.5% of GDP. Currently thus burden has been supported by the working population, now in order to reduce it further additional means are required.

The tourist has for the past few years enjoyed cheap holidays, it is time now that they pay the going rate.

It is not about being elitists or pandoring to the rich, it more about moving forward, l

want Spain (Majorca) to grow, as it should, nothing in life stays the same, let's hope it does.

Currently the island in general is over sold, not just to the English, it may be seen not to be as cheap as it was to us, but plenty out there that it is.

Looking at travel companies such as Thomas Cook and TUI both seeing good advanced sales, and predict a bumper 2018, and I believe it will be, but not I'm not convinced 2019 will be the same.

There is another aspect to be thought about, with all these tourist rentals now being unrentable, will these flood the market.

Plus with these not available are prices going to rise. Supply and demand!

I will continue to support Majorca...

And the journey continues with my September trip to Alcudia, bags are packed, well really not unpacked from June. So ready to go.

Into my 2nd week how time flies.. Weather more October than September, but nothing you can do about than...

Found couple of new restaurants worth a revisit. Syrah just up the street from siesta1 and Les Sirenas in the port. I will put reviews for these and others on my siesta1-apartment 507 site.

Home again to grey skies and damp wet UK weather. Things to to now to prepare for winter.

Well that's it for September....
