Summer well it should be but not this year, get the odd day or two of summer then back to wind rain...
But as always things not going to plan in particular my life plan. I have from a CT scan an abnormal sinister inclusion on my right kidney as they describe it. Next a detailed scan which should show a bit more and a way forward. At best not good as the doctor tells me. This news does focus life a little more makes you realise (even more) how life should not be treated lightly, it is a gift that can be taken away.
Now have next appointment for the 16th September, scary times. Seems I may to have an nephrectomy at some time soon (kidney removal) even more scary. I feel ok I say but what is going on insides, in some way wish I felt unwell at least something to fix.
So do not like countdown clocks some have countdowns to the end.
Now signed up for Addenbrookes 'my chart' which gives me online access to just about anything medical about me. Any letters, test results appointments can be viewed. Scary stuff, since retiring health seems to be going in the wrong direction. Don't retire.
Its poppy appeal time again, planning begins again. This year 250 boxes to prepare and get out and then collect. £25000 target this year but with my recent news may need to cut back a little.
Meanwhile life continues, the K6 box has been cleaned and ready for a fresh coat of paint. Paint is not cheap £48 for a tin of red paint.
