And its a long one.

Ok its summer I think, off to the place that hopefully has Sun, Sea Sangria. Ok again its not my forever place as I have many of those. Life is about experiencing, so much out there, Majorca is good, its the safe place to go but not the end place.

I like Potters (all inclusive) I also like Warner leisure, the same but different in many ways, but both are very good.

Plus points for Warner Leisure, variety of sites, history, entertainment (good) and cost.

Potters entertainment exceptional, Provincial not west end for me. Food so much, but all at a cost, not the cheapest. I go to both and will continue to do so....

I feel sad for those those put all their energies into a single break a year, life is short, and when you advance in years you begin to realise just how short. Don't waste it, live it, get involved in something more and make a difference.

As the body begins to say No more often maybe should retire, the opportunity is there, but I don't want to, hate this getting old.... Head is young, mind says go go go, why does body not respond....

Had the RX8 valeted and ceramic coated to bring it back (almost) to new. Going to have it machine polished next. Not bad for a 18 year old car.

Alcudia for 2 weeks, car rented, monies sorted, weather oh well never rains in Legends. I try not to eat in same restaurant twice while there, I mean why would you not enjoy them all. Ok don't always succeed, this is evening only, breakfast at Nevada's why go any further, I mean breakfast is breakfast all they can do is pile it high, and that don't like...

Big news, its been coming, well in12 weeks it happens, oh yes I'm retiring leaving ASDA 30th August........ Even got voluntary redundancy, so in all my previous employments I've managed that not bad, get a payoff to leave..... So tick tock tick tock

Day 1 spent travelling arrived 19:30, 2 hours late after being held up by Thunderstorm at Luton. Evening meal at the Red Lion.

It's day 2, and apart from sleeping have now sorted life for the next 2 weeks. I would mention Bernat Nicolau for his on-time pickup even with my 2 hour delay and AllCars (car rental) on time and a good price for a 2 week rental (corsa) much better than others. Presently in legends, I will carry with me some Alcudia summer fun bands, so if you see me and mention Alcudia summer fun you can have a band. I'm the old one propping up the bar... Day 3

Mozzies zero

Weather it rained, so much fresher today.

Nevada bar full, that's where the yummy customers have gone

And then there's the bank, laCaixa. Last year as holiday ended got new bank cards, so only just used them. So meal, drinks and then went to fill up hire car. Insufficient funds????. Would seem my bank card is a credit card with a 100 euro limit, but wife's card is a debit card. Now visit to bank in morning.

Ended the day at Gran China, again good meal, that's until paid. Paid contactless (Wife's card) then another waitress came over to offer snaps, and picks up card on table and pays again, before could stop her. Luckily no signal at time.

Oh life is boring on hols, what will tomorrow bring.

Day 4 mozzies zero

Weather better at can picafort

Did battle with bank today, all was going well till they wanted CIN number??? but after help from others in the queue that was building up, it's the UK tax reference nos, now will have new cards but only next Friday. Back to plan b, using wise.

Day at Can Picafort, German country. Do like the food.

Day 5 mozzies 0 Weather getting warmer Off to Cala Rajarda today to see if the works along the front have been finished. Now pedestrian only big improvement, up to date and cool. Loads of bars/restaurants to choose from all with great views. So much choice, so starters in one then moved to another for mains, and deserts in yet another. Maybe Saturday will stay in Alcudia...

Day 6 and it's an Alcudia day, a beach day. The sand is hot, the sea is warm and even a cooling sea breeze, is there any more to life oh a cool beer. But for now it's a coke. Beer later.

The Barcelona ferry has been replaced with a catamaran sleek, but so noisy you can hear it miles away, but suppose good news is that it's still running.

So spent the day people watching

Evening meal at the Maharaja Indian restaurant which didn't disappoint. Then legends bit of f1 and home.

Still waiting for someone to claim free wristband.

Day 7.

Mozzies 0, but wife did point out 2 maybe bites, I just don't feel them.

Weather bit unsettled, hazy sun all day.

Sunday day of rest, so quick trip to the pine walk, in porta polenca. Sat in one of my favourite chill places to watch life sail past, then back Navada's for evening meal. Always good for a good meal. Then legends for the F1. So first week gone, still no wristband giveaway.

Day 8.

Mozzies 0, really have not seen much evidence of them so far.

Weather again unsettled but warm and muggy.

Again a beach day down at the Muro's, and then a Jug of Sangria at Red Rum followed by evening meal at Syrah's. Do ensure when paying by card you pay in Euros for you best rate from your card provider, have used card for all payments.

Day 9. I think.

Now eaten far to much food, need few days fasting. Day around siesta1 pool, and even to the Bellevue lake. Later tried nobbies (closed) jolly Roger (closed) at 5pm. Legends open.

Mozzies still 2 maybe bites, but see from group not the same for all, as a group member pointed out yesterday. So this is just my experience of visiting over the past 18 years, it's not where you are but who you are, body makeup. I don't even use any repellant etc, never found the need.

Later evening meal at Tivoli,s for a Tivoli pizza. Just about everything on it. 7.5/10.

Weather today, overcast hot and muggy.

Day 10

Weather hazy sunshine but hot and muggy.

And after almost 20 years made it to Jolly Roger, well it's a long walk, not sure why taken so long, great place for a beer, haven't tried the food yet. But did get my first fridge magnet and a fan for my efforts. I will be back. Thankyou and happy birthday to Joy whom I presented a asf wristband. No boundaries to cost here.

Later off to Gran China in the port for a Chinese.

Have an Opel Corsa hire car, and impressed with it's fuel consumption, doesn't seem to use any, filled it up when collected and still full... Need to use at 3/4 tank before I leave.

Day 11.

Still mozzies 2

Weather, started with some rain, but soon sunny and warmer, but away to go before it reaches the temps of last year. Was too hot for me then, although that meant more time in Legends, chilling.

Lost my ghic card and found my ghic card. Thankyou Joy.

Had to go back to Jollies to collect, and to my horror became aware staff incorrectly dressed, but quickly sorted, all now wearing Alcudia Summer Fun wristbands. Oh and whilst at Jollies became hungry, well all this sorting dress standards out makes one peckish. So BBQ ribs, pork fillet and pepper sauce, plus jug of Sangria. Day 12

The days are becoming more settled weatherwise. Less haze more sun.

Off to Cala Bona, to visit one of our restaurants, Janet and John's, but closed Friday. Seems many bars, restaurants close one day a week now. But we found another good one, sat on the sea front. Brushetta varied and salami pizza. Nice hot peppers. Will add I forgot to take picture so had already eaten 2.

Day 13.

The temps are rising, the sea is warm, the sand between you toes. Nice. Well lots where enjoying the beach, never seen so packed.

Evening meal in Bella Vista in the port, always good, and prices seem to have dropped a little.

Then off to the red lion for evening drinks and ice cream, and gave away another wristband to another follower, Scott, still have more. Find me, see me, always around siesta1 at some point.

Was a goodbye to Stuart, as drives home to the UK. See you next year.

Day 14

And the mozzies are out, they land on me, look around and say no thanks... It's a hot day, the weather more settled than 2 weeks ago. Just one more day then home, back next June.

Today Porta Polencia, for a Dakota Mexican. Then Red Lion, ice cream and beer. Lastly onto Legends. It's the way. Ps I want a villa in Porta Polencia. Just need to win the lottery.

I,m actually going to retire this year, more time to look forward, enjoy the days. Life is to short not too.

Day 15.

The are bags are packed, ready to go. I'll be waiting for a taxi early in the morning, but I'll be back. May not be my forever place but does have sun, sea sangria appeal.

Ok last day, mozzies after last night's un-successful attack seem to have largely gone. After 15 evening meals in 13 different restaurants, and wanting something simple, spicy chicken wings and chips from Nevada Bar. And here's a pic of my little (boring) but economical Opel Corsa.

So leaving on a jet plane soon, but I'll be back again. At least no more daily updates for a while to bore you.

So 15 days of Sun, Sea Sangria. Will be back in June 24 for maybe just a little longer as will be retired. The weather this time was bit un-settled to start but become warmer and hotter towards the end. Back to normal hot for that time of year.

As for Mozzies, yes I get bitten, 5 for definite, but I generally don't notice if I do, so could be more.

Early in the the the RX8 got a well deserved valet, now my other Honda gets a summer update not bad for a 05 car.
