Its here Autumn, a colourful time of year. Maybe at last some rain, we need it, the garden needs it.

I begin the 2022 poppy appeal, have taken on more, another area. This end (ends 31st October) would hope to be over £11,000. Next year with more planning, was thrown into the deep end when took this on, more I hope. But this keeps me busy.

Have also been busy updating the various web sites I update, good thing about this is that can do from almost anywhere with a GSM signal. Don't you love technology at times.

Things I find odd in life

The need to post pictures of your children as they pass mile stones in life, first school etc, at a time when posting pictures of children is frowned upon.

The need to blog just about all on Facebook, find something better to do.

The need to post count down clocks, I find it sad that some only enjoy 1 or 2 weeks a year. Life is 365 days a year not just 7 or 14. Enjoy life, all of it.

Or if you must blog, blog monthly in one post, above all it makes better reading.

Back to the real world and yes today 6th September it rained 24.5mm almost an inch of rain, autumn is here.

From the ashes, almost, The Chequers burnt down last year, whilst it's gone the Lion in Sawston is being given a long overdue re-furb. A 2nd office again, I hope to doing a video soon to show all what to expect.

I like to be busy in life and certainly the Poppy appeal keeps me busy taking on more. Easy part now, go online order done. It's later when have to count bag bank the money it gets problematic. Do you know just how heavy a bag of coins is. Take ours to the local Post office, sorry for those behind as each bag is counted. SORRY.

Death of HM the Queen

At last getting some rain, not subject to a hosepipe ban as yet, it's amazing how quick the grass responds....

Away yes again, the office moves again and back to Gunton Hall a Warner leisure site. Back to theatre, food and more office time. The poppy appeal gathers speed such a lot to do.

It's a week of pageantry as the queen's funeral gathers speed, it's all in a very British way. Sad to say goodbye. Well what a show, what an occasion, a fitting send off, done in a way only the British Do. Well done.

Back to the Poppy Appeal, this year planning planning planning. The plans are in all is covered (maybe) Target will be £15000 but not telling anyone. As its all donations, but I know all my team will once again rise to the occasion.

Oh and its getting Cold had to try out heating, yes it works, so good on that, just need to cut back on office duties to pay for it. On the other hand being at the office saves me heating etc, so back to the office then its cheaper...
